Biopharm Chemicals Co., Ltd. and Biolab Co., Ltd. are prepared to participate in CPhI South East Asia 2019 which will take place on March 12-14, 2019. This will be the first time for Thailand to host the international fair for the pharmaceutical industry which will welcome more than 300 companies from 26 countries.

Mr. Prinya Powthong, .Corporate Liaison Director of Biopharm Chemicals Company Limited.,
recently attended a press conference on CPhI South East Asia 2019 which will take place on March 12-14, 2019. Mr. Prinya, as an advisor of the Pharmaceutical Association of Thailand, talked about the great opportunity of CPhI 2019 in Thailand that through the past decade, the structure of Thai society has apparently transformed into an aging society and ASEAN’s pharmaceutical markets are likely to provide a significant opportunity for the public sector to present its potential of medicine production and issue supporting and promoting policies for entrepreneur investment in an attempt to enhance their competitiveness and business opportunities of the Regional pharmaceutical industry.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sindhchai Keokitichai, President of the Pharmaceutical Association of Thailand, said Thailand’s conventional medicine industry has seen positive growth and is likely to expand further, so both public and private sectors have to cooperate and support Thai medicine manufacturers to apply medicine-related research to develop local medicine production. In addition, they should provide medicine manufacturers with opportunities to meet new raw material and ingredient manufacturers to enhance the industry’s further development and growth and prepare for the aging society in Thailand and ASEAN.

Mr. Rachod Thakolsri, Managing Director of Biolab Company Limited., as the secretary-general of the Thai Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (TPMA), said that this is a significant opportunity for Thailand to host CPhI 2019 because now Thailand has more than 180 conventional medicine manufacturing plants whose production quality meets PIC/S standard, so Thai products are in high demand in ASEAN. The medicine market value is continually increasing and Thailand’s medicine exports are expected to further expand.
